Return or DonateDrive will be return shipped or donated to the Inala-Goodna Special School Project. Building Skills and Helping the EnvironmentRecently Kroll Ontrack, along with TES-AMM, a global electronic waste recycling company, has launched a community partnership with two schools, the Goodna Special School and the Western Suburbs State Special School, both of which are focused on teaching students with disabilities. To prepare their senior students for the world once they leave school, both schools have implemented a ‘Work Skills Program’ which includes the physical recycling of computers. As part of its outreach, Kroll Ontrack provides the schools with computer hard drives that are no longer useful, along with tools and an engineer to train the work centre staff on how to dismantle the drives. Students from the schools then strip the drives down into various commodities such as plastics, metals and circuit boards. Kroll Ontrack provides assistance in either shipping the commodities or organising partners such as TES-AMM, to collect the materials without charge. TES-AMM then provides a rebate to the schools once the commodities have been sorted and graded. Kroll Ontrack provides collection points for recycling and ensures all proceeds from the sale of various commodities goes back to the schools for their fundraising activities. “The ethical and environmental recycling of electronic products, and community partnerships, is of great importance to Kroll Ontrack.
